Founded in 1981, Dixie Invitational Bowling Tournament was the second historical IGBO regional tournament. Now, as Dogwood Invitational Bowling Classic, we are hosting our 40th tournament Easter Weekend, April 6-9, 2023 – the oldest continuously active IGBO regional tournament in the world. - We moved our hotel from the Intercontinental Buckhead Atlanta to the more conveniently accessible Atlanta Marriott North East/Emory area just off I-85. Our new hotel rate is an incredible $99/night for single and quad. These are rates we had back in 2008! >>Learn more
- To avoid the Highway 400 & I-285 construction traffic craziness, we moved our bowling center to Bowlero Lilburn, which is an easy 22-minute drive up I-85. This center is also a big league house for Atlanta. It’s known for fair, competitive lane conditioning.

- Our bowler entry fee, previously $119, will increase to $125 this year. Simply put, banquet fees are on the rise. Between Covid- induced supply chain issues and resource availability, we had to increase the fee slightly to avoid prize fund impact.
- We are planning exciting 40th Anniversary fundraising events this year, including organized gatherings at Woofs Sports Bar and The Hideaway, Superbowl Square boards, Sweetheart Doubles Event (February), an open No-Tap event (February), Dogwood Virtual Lottery (March 2023), and a virtual team bowling challenge (March). More information about these pre-tournament fundraising events will be presented soon.
- During tournament weekend (April 6-9, 2023), we are planning a fabulous 40th Anniversary Welcome Back party, a new open No-Tap event during our two registration sessions, lots of 40th Anniversary fun raffles and side pots, and our famous brunch-style 40th Anniversary Awards Banquet.
